You don't always need to always upgrade to the latest version. All
Ubuntu releases have at least 18 months of security update; and the
LTS get 3 years/5 years.
At home, I'm still running 10.04 on my laptop. At work, we keep our
servers at 8.04.
Why upgrade if a specific version is working well for you?
