wireless problem

Hello all, My face is red this morning, once again the problem had nothing
to do with Ubuntu. someone mentioned a switch on this Toshiba laptop and
sure enough someone when handling the unit had switched off the wireless
function. So sorry guys for the trouble and again many thanks for all your
helpful suggestions. Since I started using Ubuntu a couple of years ago I
have relied heavily on the expertise of the people on this list and I can
say I have never been let down!  Many thanks!                          There
is another question I want to ask, on this computer when I open Firefox I
loose part of the top toolbar, the important part on the right, where the
wireless, shut down etc.. is.if I use file on the left to quit Firefox it
all returns to normal. it seems to be a sizing problem when Firefox is on.
