That switch has wasted me hours of network diagnostics so I know where you
guys are comin' from lol.. As for FF, it's probably a weird gnome
integration thing. If you guys haven't already been doing this, install
xchat and go to freenode. There are always people around to help with your
specific package and I'm sure they've seen that question quite a few times.
It's probably an easy setting fix.
