Remix Ubuntu (was Re: How to fork?)

I'm just seeing this, after recommending same to someone else on the list...
is the Ubuntu Mini Remix officially recognized by Ubuntu ? It looks nice,
and I've used uck once before, just had problems trying to update with a new
kernel and had problems... maybe I did something wrong, don't know.
