Chris, I don,t know if I can compile all the answers and suggestions I got
on this problem, I am just a user and I'm getting a bit tired of this. It
does not impress my daughter much. Installing Ubuntu from ubuntu disk should
have been straight forward but it,s turning out to be loaded with problems.
She expects that when you insert a SD/HC card that one window and a click
would get it running. Also the darn CDs and DVD,s don,t work either. All
this messing around that I have to go through to get the SD cards to work is
not normal. Same thing on my own computer with ubuntu 10.10 I really wish
there was some group near here where I could bring the machine. Sorry for
all the rant but it is getting to me.
