GNOME vs Canonical

Not much if you are new to linux. Unity's interface(personally I think it's
a cheap rip off of gnome-shell & mac) doesn't have a classic "drop menu" to
fetch your apps. The command bar(File,edit,etc) is now separate from the
application(a la mac) at the top. There is a launcher bar on the side, down
side being you can currently only launch one then it becomes an application
switcher. I seriously hope they change a lot more and don't remain on the
current path.
As for Gnome vs Canonical it's just to see what people think about the
fighting between the two parties
