Yes but java is a JIT(just in time) language and can easily decompiled and
the source obtained. Seeing as java is not a standard not every machine
would have the runtime.
Personally I don't like DRM, because it forces you to either comply with
what the corporation has shoved down your throat and accept it or use ways
to bypass the DRM (which may or may not be legal) just for it to run on a
free o/s
