First, you can only administer the router from a hard wire connection.
Connect an Ethernet cable between the router and the computer. Make sure
anther Ethernet cable goes to the modem and from the modem to the wall.

Then open your browser an d enter 192-168-1-1  which should be the dlink
default. This should allow you to log in to the administrators pages.. Use
periods, not dashes like i did. The default user name is "admin" without
the quotes. There should be no password required until you change that
requirement in the admin settings.
