Installation failure

Huh.  I guess, you can no longer boot into your Ubuntu install without a
bootable CD?  If you could run the LiveCD/LiveUSB, then we could try to get
the installation working from there or at least be able to get some
information about the problem. :(  Because one thing that comes to mind if
you could boot regularly into your 10.10 install is just to upgrade up to
12.04...
