Do you run IPtables or anything that would stop files from transferring? (Firewalls, etc) you might have to make an exception for that port.

Hi, I'm using ubuntu 12.04 and want to transfer audio files to my Nexus 7 tablet using wifi. I have used 2 different programs on the tablet and I can't connect with the PC. I have reset everything, including the router, and can't connect, I use the suggested link ( http://192.168.100.0:1212 etc..) that the two programs say I should use, but the tablet diagnostic info says I am not connected.I know this has probably nothing to do with Ubuntu, but any advise would be welcomed. Thanks
