WiFi file transfers

Off hand I think you should check to see if port 1212 is open through the the router and the PC.  Do you get a connect of any sort between the 2 ?

Hi, I'm using ubuntu 12.04 and want to transfer audio files to my Nexus 7 tablet using wifi. I have used 2 different programs on the tablet and I can't connect with the PC. I have reset everything, including the router, and can't connect, I use the suggested link ( http://192.168.100.0:1212 etc..) that the two programs say I should use, but the tablet diagnostic info says I am not connected.I know this has probably nothing to do with Ubuntu, but any advise would be welcomed.
