Ubuntu 12.10

I did the distro upgrade on my laptop yesterday and it stayed with my
existing gnome 3.4 layout. I was concerned it would overwrite with the
new Unity (Viva amazon.com!).

Maybe it is just a matter of resetting the default to Unity?
