  I'm curious about speed -- I saw a few articles suggesting that
12.10 was sluggish, but these appeared to be evaluations of Unity and
the various lenses.  If there are no speed degradations with Gnome
then I'll likely proceed with the upgrade, otherwise I'll be ignoring
this one.
