You install it with software centre, then you run it from the command
line. It probably included a man file; to see what it says, use the
command: man hamachi

A VPN just establishes a connection to another network, it doesn't do
anything visual. After establishing the VPN (I use openVPN) I then use
krdc to log on to a computer on the other network.
