I use Ubuntu exclusively and I've never had problems with the Vote Compass, and I just checked I still don't have a
problem today.

I checked the source:  it's all just basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript so unless you have explicitly turned off JavaScript in
your browser, it should work for you too.
