On my system, I go to the system indicator (the little gear in the upper right) and select 'System Settings' (or use
the dash and type 'System Settings' then select the 'Details' panel. I then choose 'Default Applications' from the
Overview list and choose a default application (in my case, Clementine) from the drop down titled 'Music'.
