Hi all,

just for the general information about other multilingual groups
handle the problem:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/loco-contacts/2008-October/002499.html

ditto for Luxembourg btw.

So if people who don't use English want to get active they have so
many possibilities, it's just about really wanting to do so,
pretending that English scares off means IMHO that they didn't even
try:

Check out the multilingual Swiss forum here:
http://www.swisslinux.ch

Dirk, even if you don't like it, this was a group decision that was
taken democratically by those involved from the beginning and, btw,
who are also those who contribute the most. And not all of them are
very comfortable in English btw. Everybody who wants to contribute can
find a way to do so, what we don't want is to split up things in local
subgroups who don't even care to get in touch with us, that is NOT the
Ubuntu way. So, please, those who are Switzerland located and active
in the ubuntu-de, ubuntu-fr and ubuntu-it media, report, report,
report, we have a report page and if you want to really work the
Ubuntu way, fill in what you are doing or planning to do (early
notification is always better). You can report in whatever national
language you want on the wiki, just state it to be visible. See also
my other post about the wiki, the existing report page is found here:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SwissTeam/ReportPage

I made sub pages in German, French and Italian, please keep the
languages clean, but report! If you want to earn respect in the
SwissTeam, communicate what you are doing, else it didn't happen,
remember, we can't read your mind :)

Greets

Myriam

Using Ubuntu since Warty beta, Ubuntero and Swiss Team member since
2006, on friendly terms with quite some important Ubuntu folks, I just
don't show off with my membership... till now :)
