Subject: Re: [ Ubuntu-cm ] EC306 EVDO REV B USB CAMTEL MODEM
Thank you Nacer.
With your explanations, I have been able to get the modem to connect.
I know this because the blue light on it comes on permanently.
But I have been unable to use the connection because it keeps asking me for a
username and password.
on the profile section under windows, I get
username: camtel at camn.........................(there is not way for me to expand and see it all
password: ...... ( invisible six characters)
Any one knows the complete values.

Hi DEF,
it works with ubuntu as far as you make sure you have
usb-switchmode* packages installed in your system or a recent
version of ubuntu (from oneiric).
If so and you are still facing difficulties to make that modem
work, just give us more details on your system.
