Ist Grub wirklich so langsam?

Nein wenn ich von der Live CD starten ist die Auswahl gleich da.

Meine Menu.1st lautet:

Auch wenn ich das Startbild 87943-SG-Daedalus-gray.xpm.gz weglasse 
ändert sich nichts an der Startgeschwindigkeit.
