On Wednesday, in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/light-themes/+bug/532633,
Mark Shuttleworth writes that: «The issue is not a bug, it's a
difference of opinion on what is the best result. We may change it, or
we may hold it.»
I have promised to create some good screencasts for the Norwegian
audience, and the plans have been ready for a long time. The
overwhelming resistance to this change made me postpone this work,
since it seemed likely it might get reverted. The comment from
Shuttleworth makes me think that was wise. And I'm very glad to see
it's not written in stone, though it would have been better if it had
been proposed and tested on the audience earlier than it was. But I'm
not going to argue one way or the other in this mail, since I think
the arguments for and against are well known by now. However, I would
like to know when I will know for sure if it will be kept or changed.
I don't want my screencasts to look different from the finished
product, but I don't want to do the work twice either.
Thanks,
Jo-Erlend Schinstad
