But if users download WUBI, they have a chance to pick their favourite
Ubuntu distribution. They would not know what the others are since
there is no description regarding to others.

Yes, true, but more explanatory links and descriptions can be given.

It is very far away for users that only look for download links except
for looking in Project/About Ubuntu/ Derivatives link.
Another suggestion is placing a text about the Derivatives page below
"Do you want to upgrade? Follow our simple guide" as this maybe also a
shortcut
