[I do apolgize for this rant but it needs to get off my chest.]

Please do not say Windows is not 'working'. I use it as my primary
desktop, because it:

a) Feels more familiar.
b) Very stable (compared to GNOME, which has various crashes of
nautilus multiple times a week).
c) Allows me to run Windows Applications (mainly Visual Studio) and
games (big issue here)
d) Runs big opensource apps _better_ than Linux (eg: Firefox 1.0 took
me about 45 seconds to install on Windows, took me about half an hour
reading manuals and mailing lists to work out what the hell I should
be doing with it, also OpenOffice works a lot better on Windows than
Linux when it comes to printing and updating it).

I could go on. I don't like Microsoft as a company, and I would
certainly choose Linux w/ Wine over Windows 98 anyday. But I think
saying Windows doesn't work is totally irrational and dated, because
it really works very well as long as you use Firefox (or similar). I
agree that IE is a pile of shit, though.
