using ubuntu-desktop as a meta-package that installs other meta-packages
is more flexible. If you break ubuntu-desktop you might only break
ubuntu-desktop and one of its meta-packages. You can more easily pay
attention on what you're breaking. For example you can think : "I need
application X but it breaks meta-package Y that's okay but I don't want
to break other meta-packagaes in the future."
