Live CD suggestion-Save Settings

Well, yes, that would be nice.  And it's the focus of MandrakeMove (paid 
version, right?).  I wonder how complex it is to do both.  You're basically 
just selecting a destination to save the settings on first boot to draw from 
automatically on subsequent boots.  

That said, a flash/usb key destination targets a very different user than 
saving to a HD.  In the case of the HD, I was attempting to target Windows 
users who are first timers to Linux.  

For my own use, I'd like a usb key option, as it would allow me to move around 
with Ubuntu for personal use and show friends Ubuntu without having to do 
with initial set-up, rather than giving them the LiveCD to take home and try 
themselves.  

But, it looks like we both agree on the value of the LiveCD to save the 
settings somewhere. :)

What do others think?
