XOrg Problems

Since updated my computer to XOrg, I have a few problems.

The fonts look fuzzy with some yellow in the border.  They also look
bolder than it used to.  I'm using this on a Toshiba Satellite with a
trident graphic card.

Another thing is that from time to time, my screen turns off.  It looks
like it's the screensaver but doesn't show anything.  The weird part is
that this is even if I'm using the computer (like writing)

Any idea?
