Localization Ideas

Well... I have to say, that I have the same preference with russian. A
lot of russians actually like to have menus and stuff translated, but I
prefer that everything stays in english except when I want to type
something in russian or read something in russian. My solution to this
was rather simple. I set my locale to en_US.utf8 (default in Hoary) and
since this is Unicode, with proper fonts I have no trouble displaying
and editing russian texts. Basically, I use GNOME keyboard config to
add russian keyboard layout, install MS web fonts (since they have
proper russian characters) and I am all set. Here is a sample screenshot
of my desktop.
