And how do I do that? 
modprobe vga16fb? after that the output of usplash is: 
HLAGHGHAKGHAHGHA
HNGH
ARGH
(sudo usplash only gives ARGH)
btw. if you rather have people with some more knowledge testing it,
please say so...
