Enabled repositories in default install

There is a lot of discussion here about the names of the
repositories... but I don't think a lot of people care about how it is
called when it is enabled by default. That is why I proposed in my
initial post to enable it by default, most users do not need to know
about the differences, as long as they can install the software they
want with as little steps as possible. Does anyone think it should not
be enabled in the default install?? So far it looks like most people
agree with me...

Furthermore I was wondering what exactly is the technical support that
is promised for software in main? Most users who have troubles go to
the forums, mailing lists or irc where it does not matter which
repository the software comes from.
