Actually I've never done the configuration of wpa by my self so far,
neither do I have a wlan enabled computer available. So I think it would
be best if someone else researched the necessary steps in order to set
it up and which packages would be needed. My comment is an idea I had -
but unfortunately I can't back it with concrete todos.

The use cases btw. should be the same as the ones for WEP, since it's
just a different encryption scheme - but this time a secure one.
Actually, I deem it even more important than WEP, though obviously I
don't have usage statistics for estimating adoption of WEP compared to
WPA - and I don't wanna guess. So the conclusion is that personally, I
don't need this feature, but if I ran or used a wlan, I'd surely miss
WPA support more than most other stuff Ubuntu already supports or will
support.
