I anticipate that I will be in the market for a laptop in a year or two,
and will certainly buy second hand. Obviously I will be looking for a
perfect Ubuntu experience :-)
So, may I ask that for each and every laptop that gets tested, we get a
full test report in the wiki ? This way when the time comes to buy a
used one, I could pick one up in this list, with the assurance that
things actually work as described in the wiki ?
IOW, an official, detailed and reliable laptop support database, to make
people's life easy, save them time, hassle and money (avoid buying
something that won't work ie ! ;-)
BTW I will want/need my future laptop to have a proper serial port (DB-9
connector), and in order to print to my printer, either a DB-25 parallel
port, or an infra red serial port (printer has one).
So I hope that todays laptop still offer these I/O functionality ??!
