I know and I already asked in the users list three days before!
Where else should I asked if there's no response? And because I'm
not sure whether this is a bug, I decided to ask here before filing
a pretended bug.

I know evince and don't like it. Evince uses xpdf for showing PDF so
I can't see any advantages over xpdf.

It's not a matter of xpdf itself. The binaries from foolabs.com[1]
show the outline pane. So I guess there must be something wrong with
the Ubuntu packages.
