No it is not. Login under X as root is a *bad* idea that took years of 
education for new Linux users and sysadmins to learn to forget.

Even on the command line, you're not supposed to login as root, except 
of course in critical cases, e.g. as a last hope. I bet in this case, 
having a X session is the least of your worries.

You are supposed to login as a regular user and type commands and 
*occasionnaly* use root credentials to execute administrator commands. 
Being root too often is the best condition to shoot yourself in the foot.
