I agree with you. Ubuntu should be more modular. Debian, Mandriva and  
Fedora are modular : at the end of the installation, the installer  
ask for "modules" to be installed such as "Web server", "Print  
server", "Laptop support", etc. An automatic preselection will be a  
great feature.

Ubuntu install accessibility software, HP printers support, Raid,  
LVM, EVMS and a bunch of other stuff that most of users don't use  
together.
