Yup, ntfs-3g seems quite stable, and I've successfully created some
packages for it[0] as documented in my blog.[1]

It has been mentioned that ntfs-3g will be eventually merged into
ntfsprogs very, very soon.[2] Hence, while I myself would like to see
this get into Edgy the soonest, I think it would be prudent to see
this first assessed by the ntfsprogs maintainers...
