Do you pay attention to duplicate bug triaging?

Hi,

We've got issues with duplicate bug report spam, e.g.,

"Also notified" makes difficult to unsubscribe
https://launchpad.net/products/malone/+bug/48860

fine-tune delivery of duplicate notification mails
https://launchpad.net/products/malone/+bug/46237

There are various solutions under consideration, to address various
aspects of the problem.

One thing we're considering is sending out duplicate bug notifications
at all, and how we can improve or fine-tune that. How many of you find
these notifications useful:

  a. a bug you're subscribed to (directly or indirectly) is marked a
dupe of another bug

  b. another bug is marked as a dupe of a bug you're subscribed to
(directly or indirectly)

and, if so, why are they useful?

How much would it affect you if we just stopped sending those
notifications? What if we stopped sending only b.?
