Speedier than EXA in intel-2.6, yes. Still not nearly competitive to EXA
in intel-2.4.

On my particular hardware [1] UXA in both 2.6 and 2.7 is no joy with
compiz and metacity with compositing. Without compositing I find the 2D
performance indeed acceptable.
