Hi,

I thought i should try out the beta and since i had to blow away my LG
P300 anyways i figured why not try it on this comp.

To my surprise the install CD 9.06 desktop amd64 contained the Ubuntu
eee version with some ancient 2.6.24 kernel and that notebook gui
instead of the ordinary gnome desktop.

The md5sum checked out and it makes no difference if i load the live
image or install it directly.

My first idea was that somehow there is a transparent recognition of
notebooks going on but a Dual core 2,5 GHz with 3 Gb ram should ofc not
go into that category.

The "check install media" does indeed report "errors found in 1 files!"
which may or may not be relevant and given that the md5sum checked out....

I would really like to try out 9.06 but as of now i just can't it seems...

Regards!
~ Henrik
