Docteam meeting on December 9

Hello!

If everything goes well, the morning of december 9 between 10:00 and
11:30 CET (9:00-10:30 UTC) there will be a real-life docteam meeting in
Materò (see http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/ConfAgenda; considering that
the "New Developers & Maintainers" and the "Documentation Team" BOFs
should be swapped).

Since there should be network, I can try to be a bridge with #ubuntu-doc
if someone who is not at the conference wants to take part. I'll also
post minutes of the meeting in the list.

I still haven't seen proposals for the agenda of the meeting, so I
thought about starting collecting some now. Here are some topics I can
think of, which basically summary all my current knowledge of the
documentation team: please reply adding your own thoughts:

 - svn repository
    - moving the svn server into Canonical's farm
    - svn hooks: which future?
    - svn accounts: formalizing the consensus, maintaining a list of who
      has one
 - A look at what we are doing:
    - Ubuntu Handbook + FAQ
    - Work on existing documents
       - Manpages
       - Gnome documentation
 - Welcome process
 - Docteam tools
    - Style guide
    - Docbook templates
 - Relationships with the translation team

Ciao,

Enrico
