I was thinking more of something like the Mozilla Newsletter:

That has more to read than DWN, with features on new extensions, tips, 
etc.
That's still an email newsletter - by making it an apt-gettable 
package, something more ambitious could be attempted - a zipped file 
with more content, graphics, insertable into the help/doc system and so 
searchable.

Of course, there's no reason why there shouldn't be both a .deb and an 
email.
