xml -> pdf?

Hi all,

I was asked to add the styleguide to the linode server, which I've done
for the html, but a couple of things I wanted to ask about making a pdf
version.

1. The current make pdf script requires apache fop, which in turn needs
java. Is this the only way to make a pdf from xml? If there is another
way, preferably using packages from hoary's main repository, it would be
easier to set up: does anyone know? If so, would they amend the
styleguide/makefile? Thanks!!!!

2. Could a "make all" target be added to the makefile for the styleguide
please? It will make it easier to auto build the doc and copy to the
server directory.
