A look at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport

shows the logic that was behind that naming convention when
these pagea were created:

Pre-configured Systems
    * HardwareSupportMachinesLaptops
    * HardwareSupportMachinesDesktops
    * HardwareSupportMachinesServers
    * HardwareSupportMachinesBarebones
    * HardwareSupportMachinesVirtualMachines

Hardware Components
    * HardwareSupportComponentsVideoCards
    * HardwareSupportComponentsSoundCards
    * HardwareSupportComponentsMultimedia
    * HardwareSupportComponentsMultimediaDigitalCameras
    * HardwareSupportComponentsMultimediaWebCameras
    * HardwareSupportComponentsWiredNetworkCards
    * HardwareSupportComponentsWirelessNetworkCards
    * HardwareSupportComponentsPrinters
    * HardwareSupportComponentsScanners

Does it matter which names they have? I'm sure 99% of users will get to any of these
pages via links on the much simpler HardwareSupport page, or via the search engine result.

Personally I would say to keep the current naming convention.
