Although, gmail *does* in their help pages for setting up POP3 access.
Not sure whether this counts though, since it's a web application and
not a normal email client. They do the same for configuring gtalk to
work in gaim.

if included, shrinking the screenshots is probably key to avoid
confusion. Or perhaps tagging them somehow to make it obvious that
they are not application windows.
