[Fwd: About instructions on Realplayer]

I just re-wrote this page. It didn't make sense for our documentation to
recommend people install random 3rd party packages, convert rpms, make a
general mess, etc.
The page now only explains how to use Canonical's commercial repository
(which has some integrity at least, and is less likey to cause
problems), and clearly states that this is not supported by the ubuntu
community.
That said, I think it is a mistake to maintain any documentation for
this on help.ubuntu.com, and would rather see documentation from
canonical on their website, that we link to.
