question: xubuntu printing doc... network printing

Ok, I have made progress on the printing section for xubuntu... but I'm
having some issues with the network printing thing.  From what I can tell
judging from the number of posts on the forums, network printing is a little
lacking in Xubuntu.  I'm basically just modifying the Ubuntu printing doc
but setting up a network printer in Xubuntu is apparently nothing like
doing it in Ubuntu.

One solution from the forums that seemed to work for people is just
installing gnome-cups-manager and running it under Xubuntu.  This would be a
much simpler way of doing it IMHO.  However, is this "kosher"?  I'm not sure
if gnome-cups-manager is included in a default Xubuntu install (my intuition
says it is not).

Any guidance people care to offer would be splendid.
