I think you and I see eye-to-eye on this on Matt. I have been using Bazaar 
more and more on some other projects recently. The initial checkout/branching 
will definitely be slow, and as long as you aren't pushing huge uploads, it 
isn't all that bad. Granted, it is nowhere near the speed we are used to with 
our current SVN repo, even when the hooks get all goofy.

I really don't get excited either over which vcs we use. The one advantage I 
see really with Bazaar over SVN, is the ability for you to add the user to 
the team, and boom they have upload rights. Also the branching is quite nice, 
however I don't see that as a big advantage over sending a patch through the 
list, or discussing what you would like to see. If someone does branch, does 
a lot of work, and it isn't really what we want, it would almost seem like a 
waste of time on their part.

So, as long as I can work on Kubuntu docs I don't care which vcs we use, and I 
typically just do bzr co so it works just like SVN anyways.
