previewing docbook files in KDE

hello! I'm going to be working mostly with the kubuntu docs, as i 
switched to kubuntu last weekend. I also switched over to bazaar. 
however, after i checked out the kubuntu branch for the first time (i 
used a lightweight checkout), i was a bit uncertain how to preview my 
changes. trying to use yelp (which i still have installed) on any of the 
kubuntu docs, even ones that i had not changed and that validated 
according tot he shell scripts, resulted i yelp telling me it was not 
valid. i tried using khelpcenter path/to/file, but that resulted in the 
help center displaying a completely unformatted document. Is there any 
way i can preview my changes in KDE?

once i get this issue worked out, i plan to move my previous article on 
offline package installation to the kubuntu documentation, with, of 
course, some modifications so it fits with KDE/adept.
