APT/RPM "Compatibility"

One of the guys in my LUG put this together and I thought you guys might get
a kick out of it; find some place for it in the wiki for instance. Attached
is the conversation we had off-list, which grants his permission to
reproduce it.

sure 100% of it is correct, but...

rights reserved" which is what my home-grown trivial CMS does, but I
hereby grant anyone permission to use or reproduce any/all of the
