I'm not really sure how current those particular guides are, but the best
thing to do is to test them and see how they work.

Definitely, updating the Windows Networking section for Ubuntu 8.10 is a
goal we're working towards.  Some other areas to document for the next
release have been gathered as well [1].  Any help you can provide in
documenting these ideas is greatly appreciated, even if it's only a
review/test of the final content :-).
