No, there are no regular meetings of different teams together.
However, Ubuntu is an open community so anyone can join a meeting of a
particular team and report issues. In a case like this, if there is a
concern about whether a particular feature is a valid one, the best
approach is to file a bug and raise it with the development team by
way of an email to the development list or discussion at a meeting.
Where the feature comes from an upstream project like this (Gnome),
ideally the concern should also be raised with the upstream
developers.
Until the development team has decided to remove the feature, we
should certainly document it, it's a feature that I think is used
often enough to be worth documenting.
