Hi all,
 Please look at
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/releasenotes/810#Recommended packages
installed by default

I don't see any /etc/apt/apt.conf although I'm sure one can make one.

" if you want to make this permanent, set APT::Install-Recommends
"false"; in /etc/apt/apt.conf. "

Also should the . be there? Is it part of the file?
